Brief Description of Event:
I
invite you to join the Pedagogical Methods class I teach for the Philadelph
ia School for the Alexander Technique on Fridays. We meet on Fridays from 1
1:45am - 1:45pm EDT on Zoom. We frame our class around a Musicians’ Master
Class. We meet together before the class begins (@noon) to field questions
and create a lens to observe the class through. We use the time after the c
lass ends (@ 1:00) to field more questions, hone our observation skills and
analyze the techniques used to teach during the class. This is a unique op
portunity for anyone interested in the process of teaching groups with an e
xperiential focus, teaching online, and teaching specifically to musicians.
All are welcome and the class is offered Pay What You Wish. I’ve been teac
hing AT for 32 years and have coached musicians at the Curtis Institute of
Music for over 20 years. My focus and expertise is in creating experiential
ly-based learning opportunities for students of all ages and groups of all
sizes.
This is a
FREE workshop/event!
