Deep Play and Kindness 

Join Cathy Madden for a transformative week of exploration, presence, and renewal through the Integrative Alexander Technique Process. This workshop invites you to discover how curiosity can open pathways to deeper connection—with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.Through guided movement, compassionate observation, and playful inquiry, participants will engage in what Cathy calls “deep play”—a state of learning that is both joyful and profound. Whether you’re an artist, educator, caregiver, or simply a person seeking more harmony in daily life, you’ll experience how embracing embodiment and kindness support genuine creativity and resilience.In the restorative setting of The Whidbey Institute, surrounded by forest, gardens, and open sky, you’ll have space to listen deeply, and move freely. Together, we’ll explore how integrating the Alexander Technique in our lives helps us navigate our world with grace, presence, and generosity of spirit.This learning community invites everyone from those new to the Alexander process to those who teach it. We are all discovering – and rediscovering - the process moment-to-moment. All who are curious about living and moving with a cooperating coordination are warmly welcome.
