Brief Description of Event:
Regina Stratil, author of Irene Tasker: Her Life and Work with the Alexander Technique. Irene Tasker pioneered the integration of Alexander technique into educational settings when she set up a school for children in 1924, in London, based on Alexander technique principles. She was also the first teacher to introduce Alexander technique in South Africa generating a movement that culminated in an attempt to incorporate Alexander technique into South African schools. Join us for this special event & learn more about Irene Tasker's life and work, and her influence in the development of AT. Publisher Jean Fischer will lead Regina in conversation of her experience writing this well-researched biography. Bring your own questions for Regina for a lively Q&A time.
